Brigitta’s professional bio:
Brigitta Shannon Rose has been writing and editing for over 30 years. She wears many “writing” hats. Brigitta is an urban fantasy author, a poet, freelance business writer, and a magazine writer/editor. She is currently a writer and editor for Angi Magazine, a writer and co-coordinator for a historical recreation poetry project, and working on her first fiction trilogy. She lives in Indiana with her two cats and a large, extended found-family.
Brigitta’s somewhat less professional bio:
Hi, all! I’m Brigitta Shannon Rose. Welcome to my world of weirdness and ramblings. Just an immediate note. I don’t consider being “weird” or “rambling” to be bad things. Keep that in mind; it will make understanding me so much easier. And, now, a little more about me.
I have worked as a writer, an editor (well, technically I still do those things for a living), an instructional designer, a graphic designer, a financial representative, and a myriad other jobs in my life. I fashioned my life by the saying “Better a jack of all trades than a master of one.” Some say this makes me well-rounded. Others say this makes me “unfocused.” Personally, I think it makes me a typical Gen-Xer with ADHD, but everyone has their own opinions.
I’ve been writing fiction since I was eight-ish (it has been a few years so I don’t remember exactly) and poetry since I was 12. I have several poems published in a historical recreation poetry project that several friends and I have participated in for the last seven years. I also edit and write articles for Angi magazine. Finally, I run a food blog titled “Eating Allergy-Free with Brie.”
